Vitamin D Test

Vitamin D is essential for normal bodily function and in the case of fertility, it is essential for the development of healthy Sperm and Eggs. Despite its name, vitamin D is not a regular vitamin. It’s actually a steroid hormone that you are designed to obtain primarily through sun exposure, not via your diet. Many people in Ireland are deficient in Vitamin D and up to half of all couples experiencing difficulty conceiving have been shown to have low Vitamin D levels.

Low Vitamin D  levels are relatively easy to correct with the right supplementation. Check your levels before planning a pregnancy to ensure that you optimise your chances of success.

Instruction Video for How to Take the Blood Tests

How it works

A Vitamin D Test is identical to the test performed by fertility clinics worldwide. Using the latest technology to analyse samples only a small blood sample is required from your fingertip. When you order the kit it will be posted to you in plain and discreet packaging with no logos or branding on the outside. Simply collect the blood sample with the kit and post it to the lab using the FREEPOST envelope. Your results will be available 2 to 3 days after the sample is received by the lab.

When to take the test.

This test can be taken by men or women. There is no need to fast prior to taking the test. Perform the fingerprick blood test and post the sample back to the lab on the same day. Everything you need is included in the kit.
